*Tentative value in combined cycle, pending homologation. These figures are estimates based on official homologation figures in a controlled environment (WLTP). These figures are provided solely for comparison purposes. Only compare them with other cars tested to the same technical procedures. The actual electric range value of your vehicle will vary from these calculated values, since many factors have an influence on a car's electric range. Such factors include selected grade, optional equipment and accessories fitted, driving style, speed, road conditions, traffic, vehicle condition, tyre type (summer/winter) and pressure, vehicle load, number of passengers, external temperature, battery temperature, etc.

Peace of mind
The technology in Toyota’s hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles is engineered to last the lifetime of the car. And our hybrid batteries are covered by a 5-year/100,000km warranty, so you can relax.
At home everywhere
Hybrids and plug-in hybrids excel in every scenario. They prioritise quiet electric power in the city, yet their onboard engines also make them ideal for long trips.
*An electrified car is one propelled by one or more electric motors to some extent. Some electrified cars, including Hybrids and Plug-in Hybrids, also have a petrol engine.
Electric power: your questions answered
Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles incorporate similar technology – but with a key difference. Both switch seamlessly between two power sources; an efficient petrol engine and an electric powertrain comprising a battery and one or more electric motors. However, Plug-in Hybrids feature a higher capacity battery to deliver greater electric performance and electric-only range in EV mode.
Toyota’s Plug-in Hybrids feature bigger batteries than Hybrid cars, giving them the capability to cover local trips on electric power alone in EV mode. Should the battery run low during longer drives, Toyota’s Plug-in Hybrids seamlessly switch to running on combined petrol and electric power, recharging the battery as you drive to get you to your destination. Explore the individual model pages of Toyota’s Plug-in Hybrids to find out more about their range.
There are several ways to recharge a Plug-in Hybrid. Plugging in to your domestic power supply is easy and makes overnight charging convenient and, in many cases, highly economical. For optimum speed, the combination of a dedicated cable and a wallbox unit will return a full charge in just a couple of hours – a comparable time to some mobile phones.
Plug-in Hybrids can save you money in many ways. Regular charging will significantly reduce your fuel consumption, and Plug-in Hybrid drivers enjoy tax relief and exemption from city centre and low-emission charges in some countries.
Toyota Plug-in Hybrid batteries are engineered to last the lifetime of the car. For added peace of mind, every battery comes with a 5 year/100,000 km◊ warranty which – with an annual Hybrid Health Check – extends battery cover for up to 10 years. When a battery reaches the end of its life, Toyota’s take-back scheme ensures it is dealt with safely and responsibly. ◊Whichever comes sooner
